On Thursday, world No. 25 Holger Rune will face qualifier Ugo Humbert in the second round of the 2022 Swiss Indoors.

In the opening round, Rune faced Alex de Minaur, whom he overcame on his way to winning the Stockholm Open last week. The youngster got off to a fast start, breaking his opponent's serve twice to lead 4-0 in the first set. The Australian was unable to make up lost ground as the young Dane won the set quickly.
For the most of the second set, both players were evenly matched. Rune took the critical break in the 11th game of the set to move ahead 6-5. He finished the match with a 6-2, 7-5 victory in the next game. It was also his sixth consecutive victory.
Ugo Humbert
Ugo Humbert defeated Bernabe Zapata Miralles and Aslan Karatsev to qualify for the main draw in Basel. In the first round, he fought World No. 50 Jenson Brooksby.
Humbert quickly raced to a 5-0 lead in the opening set and quickly grabbed the set by serving it out with ease. Brooksby had a number of break opportunities in the fourth game of the second set but failed to convert. It was costly, as the Frenchman broke his serve in the next game to take a 3-2 lead.
Humbert held on to the advantage to the very end and served out the match without incident, winning 6-1, 6-4.
