China Mobile has held talks with Apple on supplying the iPhone in the mainland, but the two parties have not reached agreement, chairman and CEO Wang Jianzhou told a forum yesterday, mainland website sina.com reported.

Sales of smartphone OS-based phones will grow at more than a 30% compound annual growth rate for the next five years globally, taking an increasing share of the overall phone market, says In-Stat.

Altobridge, an Irish company specializing in remote wireless, has licensed its local connectivity platform to Ericsson, enabling it to provide local switching across its GSM base station portfolio.

Aircom International will provide planning and optimization tools to Malaysian operator DiGi.

Philippines operator Smart Communications has teamed up with Zad Mobile to launch of mobile advertising services.
