According to information published by L'Equipe, Saudi Arabian football club Al-Ahli is considering the possibility of signing Argentine forward Lionel Messi after the expiration of his current contract with Inter Miami.
Messi's contract with the American team is set to end on December 31, 2025. For several weeks, representatives from Al-Ahli have been in negotiations with the Argentine player, trying to persuade him to join their club.
The financial terms of the potential deal have not been disclosed yet. Saudi Arabia, which will host the World Cup in 2034, is demonstrating strong interest in inviting Messi to its football league.
Before moving to the American club, Messi played for Barcelona and PSG. He is a graduate of the youth academy of Argentine club Newell's Old Boys.
