Real Madrid Defender Dani Carvajal Claims He Is Close to Retirement

Spanish defender Dani Carvajal of Real Madrid shared his thoughts on the possibility of retiring from professional football. The 33-year-old is currently recovering from a torn cruciate ligament.

Throughout his club career, Carvajal has played a total of 531 matches across various competitions, scoring 18 goals and providing 82 assists. His current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2026. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is estimated at around 10 million euros.

Earlier reports indicated that the Madrid club is considering signing Trent Alexander-Arnold as a right-back on a free transfer.
