Jones last fought against Stipe Miocic in November 2024 at UFC 309, where he won by technical knockout in the third round, successfully defending his UFC heavyweight title. His record stands at 28 wins, one loss, and one no-contest.

Jones was also the UFC light heavyweight champion, having won the title in March 2011 at UFC 128 by defeating Brazilian fighter Maurício Rua by technical knockout in the third round.
