Pakistan's under-pressure batting star Babar Azam categorically proclaimed he doesn't need to prove himself to anyone on his batting credentials and for him enjoying cricket matters to him the most.

The 30-year-old has been struggling with his batting and was forced out of captaincy from all three formats in the last 12 months. He has scored only 117 runs at a strike rate of 117 with just one fifty and a forty.
He was dropped from the Test side last year after not scoring a fifty for 25 innings. His last ODI half century came 26 innings ago and in T20Is he has not crossed the 50-mark for 25 T20I innings.
He was also not part of Pakistan's T20I team that lost 4-1 in New Zealand in March this year.
But Babar said he has nothing to prove to anyone.
I know fans expect me to stay at the crease for longer periods, score runs in every game and delight the fans with my drives but that is not happening. I am still not worried nor do I have to prove myself to anyone. I am enjoying my cricket.
I know about strike rate, how to play fast, what style of batting the T20 cricket demands and how batters are playing but all these depend on the conditions in which you play.
Pakistan face Bangladesh in a five-match T20I series to kick start their preparations for next year's World Cup. Babar and his T20I opening partner Mohammad Rizwan face uncertainty over their future in the shortest format.
Swear to Allah, I get under pressure when people chant my name. Whenever I get a chance to waive at them and try to meet them so that they are happy. I thank the Almighty for this honour because at these very grounds I used to come as a ball boy and always dreamt that one day I will play here.
I can also hit back at these negative remarks but my elders have taught me to respect others so I don't reply and will never do that.
