Liverpool forward Alexander Isak has reportedly spent £30,000 on a highly trained guard dog to protect his family after receiving a wave of death threats online. The abuse followed Sweden’s disappointing World Cup qualifying campaign as well as his high-profile summer move from Newcastle United to Liverpool.

According to The Sun, the Swedish striker has invested in a professionally trained Doberman to ensure extra security for himself and his loved ones as he settles into life on Merseyside. The threats, directed at Isak and several members of the Swedish national team, came after they finished bottom of their group in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
A source told The Sun: “Alexander has had a very high profile summer thanks to the drawn-out transfer to Liverpool and the high price the club paid for him. He wants to get settled off the pitch and getting a protection dog is an essential part of that.”

Isak’s early months at Liverpool have been challenging, with fitness issues disrupting his rhythm. The 26-year-old, who played a key role in Newcastle United’s Carabao Cup triumph last season and their fifth-place Premier League finish, has struggled to find consistent form at Anfield. So far, he has managed just one goal in eight appearances and has missed several matches due to injury.
