Nottingham Forest have confirmed the appointment of Sean Dyche as their new head coach, making him the club’s third manager of the season. The former Burnley and Everton boss has signed a deal running until the summer of 2027 and will take charge of his first game on Thursday night when Forest face FC Porto in the Europa League.

Dyche replaces Ange Postecoglou, whose turbulent 39-day stint came to an abrupt end following Saturday’s 3-0 defeat to Chelsea. The loss, which was Forest’s fifth in eight league games, saw owner Evangelos Marinakis leave his seat before the final whistle, and Postecoglou was dismissed less than 20 minutes after full-time.
"Nottingham Forest is delighted to confirm the appointment of Sean Dyche as the Club’s new Head Coach, following a thorough recruitment process led by Global Head of Football, Edu Gaspar, and Global Technical Director, George Syrianos."
The 54-year-old returns to familiar surroundings, having once been part of Forest’s youth setup as a player. He now takes over a side sitting 18th in the Premier League, with just five points from their opening eight matches.
