AMD hires corporate VP and GM for Taiwan

Andy Tseng has joined AMD as corporate vice president and general manager for AMD Taiwan.

In this role, Tseng will be responsible for all of AMD’s business and operations in Taiwan and will report to David Tang, senior vice president and president of AMD Greater China.

Tseng has more than 23 years of IT industry experience in the Taiwan market.

Prior to joining AMD, Tseng worked as the managing director at Symantec Taiwan, where he had responsibility for overall Taiwan operations, strategy and business targets.

Earlier in his career, Tseng spent nearly nine years in various senior management roles at 3COM, including managing director for the 3COM Greater China Region.

Tseng has also worked for Oracle Taiwan, Apple Computer Taiwan, DEC Taiwan and IBM Taiwan, building strong domain expertise in all aspects of the technology industry.
