Amdocs’ revenue reached $807 million in its first fiscal 2012 quarter that ended December 31, 2011.

This means an increase of 4.1% year-on-year but a decrease of 0.6% from the previous quarter.

"Our results benefitted from strong performance in the emerging markets and Europe, somewhat tempered by slower spending at AT&T in conjunction with the cancellation of the merger with T-Mobile,” said CEO Eli Gelman.

"We continue to demonstrate our belief in the future success of Amdocs by repurchasing our shares,” Gelman said. “Since resuming the buy-back program in April 2010, we have repurchased approximately $1.2 billion of our ordinary shares as of December 31, 2011, or roughly 20% of our shares outstanding,”
