First launched exclusively to Windows Mobile 6.5-based handsets, Windows Marketplace now supports devices that run on WinMo 6.0 and 6.1. Microsoft will roll out an online marketing campaign to promote the marketplace initiative.

THQ Wireless has launched “Star Wars: Trench Run,” a new iPhone game developed by studio Infrared5 in conjunction with Lucasfilm. Players must destroy the Death Star by dogfighting with TIE fighters, navigating through obstacles and laser-fire.

Microsoft releases Office 2010 public beta

Microsoft Hong Kong has made available for free download Office 2010 public beta, which includes new features like the Outlook Social Connector. Microsoft also released the Windows Azure platform, touted to bring to reality the company's vision of cloud services.
