Avago releases low-noise amps for LTE

Avago Technologies has released its MGA-635P8 ultra low-noise amplifier (LNA) for base station RF front-end design.

The MGA-635P8 can be used in cellular applications such as first stage of cellular base station transceiver radio cards, tower mounted amplifiers, combiners, repeaters and remote/digital radio heads.

Avago said the new LNA has a best-in-class noise figure (NF) of 0.56 dB, 0.75 dB maximum, at 2500 MHz.

The MGA-635P8 is housed in a Quad Flat No-lead plastic package with a small 2 mm by 2 mm footprint and slim 0.75 mm thickness.
