Mobile personalization company Bridgewater Systems has opened a new operations centre in New Delhi to capitalize on the booming Indian market.

The Center of Excellence will act as a hub for the APAC region, combining mobile data technology R&D, sales and customer support and professional services.

The Indian government has a target of reaching 100 million broadband subscribers by 2014, from just 8.6 million today, and the recent 3G and BWA auctions will help achieve that goal.

Bridgewater CEO Ed Ogonek said this growth will spur great demand for its products in the sector.
