Indonesia’s Telkomsel taps Openet to support new services launch

Openet has won a deal from Indonesian mobile carrier Telkomsel to provide an end-to-end BSS stack.

Under the deal, Telkomsel will deploy Openet’s Digital Business Platform (DBP) to roll out a range of new offers and personalized services in the Indonesian market.

Openet said its DBP, which comprises solutions from Openet and their partners, allows real-time automation and uses digital APIs to reduce opex and deliver a faster time to market.

“Our open and digital first approach to developing and delivering software will enable Telkomsel to quickly launch, manage and monetize new digital services,” said Niall Norton, CEO of Openet.

CITIC Telecom CPC appoints new sales head for Singapore

CITIC Telecom International CPC has appointed Derek Ung as general manager of enterprise sales for Singapore.

In this role, Ung will focus on new strategic initiatives to expand the region's sales and marketing efforts, as well as establish new partnerships to expand its channel.

Prior to joining CITIC Telecom CPC, he held various senior positions at international corporations, including Biqmind and BT Global Services.

STL unveils Intellza

Sterlite Technologies Ltd (STL) has unveiled Intellza, its next-generation business intelligence solution that enables AI-based predictive modeling and deep personalization;

Intellza, announced at the recently concluded TM Forum Digital Transformation World 2019 in Nice, France, maximizes engagement through AI-based predictive modeling of customers’ journeys.

The solution was validated in the event by Orange and Deutsche Telekom, the company said.

STL said its solution helps telcos bring deep personalization, assess the performance of newly launched products, gauge customers’ expectations and help introduce relevant products with minimal risks, opening up new revenue streams.

“AI and Machine Learning are undoubtedly on top of business leaders’ minds globally. Yet, what remains elusive is leveraging these capabilities to drive tangible improvement in business KPIs such as Net Promoter Score,” Shrirang Bapat, CTO of Network Software at STL, said.
