Cinemacraft announced the launch of Cinemacraft Jazzdoraku, a Japanese jazz video-on-demand application.

Released in collaboration with independent Japanese jazz label, Jazzdoluck, the iOS app will feature 100 Japanese jazz artists with new additions every month.

“Japan has a long and rich history associated with jazz. Introduced to the Japanese population in the 1920s, jazz quickly gained popularity, reaching international audiences by the 1950s. We are thrilled to partner with Cinemacraft to create another platform to bring Japanese jazz to local fans and the larger international community,” said Tohru Ogawa, Founder, Jazzdoluck KK.

Ogawa said Japan still boasts of a thriving jazz community with more local and modern elements being introduced to the art form.

Currently available across all iOS devices including iPhones, iPads and iPods, the application will also be launched for Android at a later date. The online VOD music service provides consumers 50 hours of music at this time.
