Cloakware has launched a new Open Mobile Alliance (OMA)-compliant digital rights management (DRM) solution for the secure delivery of digital content across Google's Android open source platform.

The solution, called OMA DRM 1.0 Client, was developed in response to the groundswell of Android-supported mobile devices including smartphones, netbooks and other consumer electronics devices.

OMA DRM enables mobile operators and content providers to pursue sophisticated business models such as subscription and streaming.

Cloakware OMA DRM 1.0 Client fully implements the OMA DRM 1.0 specification and supports all content delivery methods, enforces content licenses, and provides mechanisms to manage super-distribution.
