Comptel and Hitachi have entered into a reseller agreement for the former to resell Comptel Policy Control Solution (PCRF) to Hitachi’s customers worldwide.

This strategic partnership with Hitachi enables Comptel to enter the Japanese market and boost its presence in the US.

Going forward, Comptel Policy Control Solution will play an important role as a part of Hitachi’s network solutions for Traffic Management and Network Function Virtualization.

"By partnering with Comptel, a leading global telecommunications software company, Hitachi is strengthening its network solutions as a part of our network middleware strategy,” said Hiroyuki Wada, COO of Information & Telecommunication Systems Company at Hitachi. “We are looking forward to offer joint proposals together with Comptel.”

Also, a major mobile operator in India has placed an order to extend their license and support contract for a three-year period.

The deal with a value of 4.9 million euros (about $6.3 million) comprises software licenses for the Comptel Convergent Mediation and Comptel Provisioning and Activation products and support services related to them.
