Carrier Ethernet Asia
Alcatel-Lucent has inked a four-year Carrier Ethernet project with Taiwan’s Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET) for its IP network transformation.
By converging its current metro network and IP/MPLS-based Carrier Ethernet infrastructure, Alcatel-Lucent’s solution will help FET quickly introduce the next generation of mobile broadband services to its customers.
The unified network infrastructure will enable FET to pursue a quick mobile traffic expansion in its 3G network and offer advanced services to businesses with improved scalability and quality of service.
At the same time, FET can also lay a foundation for future introduction of long term evolution technology.
