Alereon, UWB technology leader for WiMedia and Certified Wireless USB applications, receives a $3 million investment from SK Telecom. SK Telecom is the second major Korean investor in Alereon, following Samsung Ventures' investment in 2006.

Salesforce.com's online software service is becoming a showcase for Google 's email and other widely used applications. Besides selling Google's programs to its 41,000 business customers, Salesforce.com will integrate the suite of applications into its own service.

Tata Communications announces the expansion of its Global VPN service to Egypt through a partnership agreement with TE Data, a subsidiary of Telecom Egypt and Egypt's largest IP-based data communications carrier.
