NTT DoCoMo and KT Freetel will jointly procure a 3G handset model from LG Electronics, as part of their joint efforts to co-develop business opportunities and save cost. DoCoMo will sell the handset - LG's WINE model - as the FOMA L706ie in Japan from August, while KTF plans to introduce the model in South Korea from September.

Sify Technologies launches of its Roam Connect International service in India. The Roam Connect International service, powered by leading enterprise mobility provider iPass, will enable Sify customers to access a global high-speed, reliable and secure wireless Broadband service when on the move.

Sybase 365, a subsidiary of Sybase, reports that Bell Direct, Australia's newest stockbroker, has chosen the company to power its new mobile share trading platform.

Agilent Technologies and Spirent Communications have joined the EGPS Forum, a GPS industry forum formed in January by CSR and Motorola.
