FASTTAKES: HTIL, ZTE, Intel, APT

Hutchison Telecom International (HTIL) grew its subscriber base by 14.8% to 9.9 million in Q3. The Indonesian arm grew 13.6% in the quarter to 7.3 million , and Vietnam grew 63.3% to 1.02 million customers. The Sri Lankan operation grew to 563,000.

ZTE, Huawei, Ericsson, Alcatel-Lucent, NSN and NEC have all been shortlisted to help conduct a series of LTE trials across Europe and Latin America with Spanish operator Telefonica.

Intel Capital, Bertelsmann Asia Investment Funds and Morningside Ventures have signed a €16.6 million funding agreement with PhoenixNew Media. Mainland China satellite broadcaster Phoenix TV remains the controlling shareholder of the digital media group.

Global PC microprocessor shipments increased 23% quarter-on-quarter in Q309 – nearly double the typical growth during that period, research firm IDG said.

Taiwanese operator APT has implemented an upgraded version of global BSS provider Intec's billing and settlement solution suite.
