Malaysian operator Maxis Mobile has contracted IBM to provide IT services for five years.

Ericsson has been contracted to provide managed services for Mobile Broadband Network, the 50/50 JV between T-Mobile UK and 3 UK. Ericsson will help integrate the operators' 3G RANs for the new venture, and will manage the growth of the converged RAN.

Nokia's Comes With Music digital music service will launch in Singapore within weeks, the company said. Nokia will launch its XpressMusic line, and Comes With Music versions of the N96, N85 and N79 handsets, in Singapore very soon.

Nortel has completed the first end-to-end video streaming session of a TDD-based LTE network, using prototypes of an LTE TDD device and Nortel's LTE eNodeB base station. This demonstrates that LTE is the next step for China's TD-SCDMA technology, Nortel said.
