PCCW rolls out provision of free wireless broadband service at outdoor and indoor areas of the public rental housing estates, including those at the Outlying Islands. The move follows PCCW's provision of free Wi-Fi internet access to over 120,000 universities and other institutes students in early 2007 to encourage digital learning.

BT announces that its Media and Broadcast sector has been awarded a multi-million dollar three year managed service IP network solution contract for STAR Group, Asia's leading media and entertainment company.

OCN, the internet service provider operated by NTT Communications, plans to introduce a flat-rate billing option for wireless notebooks that connect remotely to the internet via a FOMA 3G data card or handset of NTT Com's sister company, wireless operator NTT DoCoMo, beginning May 1.
