Verizon Wireless will launch its LTE service in the US on November 15, according to Engadget.

China Mobile and China Telecom will deploy Alcatel-Lucent’s fiber-based PON solutions in 14 and 18 provinces respectively, according to Alca-Lu.

Cable & Wireless Worldwide has won a contract with Pakistan subsea cable operator Trans World Associates to provide data network solutions to Europe and the US.

M1 will start selling Apple’s iPad with 3G and Wi-Fi from July 23. iPad subs will receive 10GB of free data with a S$20 ($14.53) prepaid card.

Lenovo plans to offer a tablet PC, the LePad, running on the Android OS.

The Bluetooth SIGhas launched a Bluetooth apps contest.
