HSPA mobile broadband technology is growing in popularity among global IT decision makers whose firms currently rely on HSPA for mobile broadband connectivity instead of Wi-Fi, a survey commissioned by the GSM Alliance showed.

The survey covered 1,000 enterprises across the US, Europe and Asia Pacific, 36% of whom currently deploy HSPA as their principle means of employee mobile broadband access.

Also, 24% of those polled expect the technology to become the industry standard over the next five years.
