Datacraft has designed and built a metropolitan area network (MAN) for ICON+\'s existing optical fiber MPLS network to improve the latter\'s service delivery.

Indonesia\'s ICON+ needs a highly scalable and reliable network that will support its users\' growing bandwidth needs and increasing demand for new, next-generation applications.

The MAN implementation will leverage on the country\'s first 10GB fiber optic infrastructure to give corporate users in high-rise buildings swift access to new ICON+ Metronet services at 10, 100 or 1,000 Mbps.

The high volume network will also allow a wide variety of services to be offered including: Point-to-Point Layer 2 MPLS VPN, Ethernet relay services, Ethernet wire services, multipoint Layer 2 MPLS VPN, Layer 3 MPLS VPN, intranet, extranet, and basic internet access.
