Motorola received two InfoVision Awards from the International Engineering Consortium (IEC) yesterday at the Broadband World Forum Asia in Hong Kong. Motorola's CPEi 750 Desktop CPE and VODxchange VOD Content Creation System were recognized as best and most innovative products in their respective categories.

Judged by a panel of industry experts ranging from vendor companies to service providers and industry associations, the InfoVision Award recognizes technologies, applications, products, advances and services judged to be the most unique and beneficial to the telecom industry and consumers.

Huawei Technologies also won two awards for its IPTime (IP Transport Infrastructure for Mobile Evolution) in the Wireless Broadband category and 40G transmission solutions in the Core Network Innovation and Advances category. Huawei has been honored with InfoVision Awards for the past four consecutive years.

Pacnet won recognition for its product innovation for a third consecutive year, with its IP Virtual Community Network (VCN) service winning the award in the New Product Concepts category. Last year, Pacnet won the InfoVision Award in the Network Core Innovation and Advances category for its Call Aggregation Service (CAS).

The Infovision awards are given in a total of eight categories. The other winners were BT's Onevoice Mobile Access in the Access Network Technologies and Services category; PCCW's YP Channel 502 in the Content, Entertainment, Applications and Services category; and ZTE Corp's RPR-Embedded MSTP solution in the Metro Network Technologies and Services category.
