SaskTel International has come out with Version 6.0 of its OpenSwitchGate (OSG) activation solution.

Built in Java SE, the solution promises flexibility, portability, and simplified integration into a service provider’s business.

The OSG solution, SaskTel says, makes network equipment upgrades a fast and affordable, as only data configuration is tweaked and an integrator does not need to be hired to write new code.

With the solution, communications firms can provide a broad range of services, all activated in real-time on any network.

The solution provides instant discovery, remote programming and dynamic communication with network elements, including voice and ATM switches, soft switches, HLR switches, messaging servers and voice mail platforms, among others.
