LTE subscribers to reach 50 million in three years

TeleGeography’s 4G Research Service projects that after the first two years since launch in 2010, growth will ramp up quickly in LTE services, topping 50 million subscribers within 4 years and more than 200 million subscribers within 6 years.

TeleGeography forecasts a slow initial start giving way to accelerated growth in subscription for LTE 4th generation mobile services.

Analyst Peter Bell says that with a raft of new LTE devices expected to hit the market in the coming months, mass-market adoption will not be far behind.
