A new set of Windows Phone Developer Tools will provide developers with “newcapabilities that enable new app scenarios.”

These include enhanced multitasking, expanded Live Tiles, Extras and push notifications functionality, and access to the Motion Sensor library and the camera.

The next version of Windows Phone, code named Mango, will ship later this year.

Aside from enhanced multitasking capabilities, this will introduce some significant new features like hardware-accelerated IE9 with HTML5, Twitter in the People hub and better support for Office documents in SkyDrive.
