Motorola Solutions announces first board

Motorola Solutions, Motorola’s enterprise spinoff that sells police radios and barcode scanners to government and corporate customers, has appointed nine board members.

Greg Brown, who had been serving as Motorola's co-CEO with Sanjay Jha, is now a board member in addition to his role as president and CEO of Motorola Solutions. David Dorman has been named chairman.

Motorola said the board plans to name Brown as chairman effective May 2011, after which Dorman will become lead independent director.

The other board members are William J. Bratton, Michael V. Hayden, Vincent J. Intrieri, Judy C. Lewent, Samuel C. Scott III, Douglas A. Warner III and John A. White.
