Motorola taps partners for new line of Android apps

Motorola has announced third-party solutions for its upcoming portfolio of mobile devices powered by Android.

Through its partners, Motorola is also making available applications that can be pre-loaded, embedded or downloaded on its Android-powered devices.

Motorola partners include Accuweather, Amazon MP3, Barnes & Noble, CardStar, Comcast Entertainment Group, Hands On Mobile, Howcast.com, Midomi, MySpace, QuickOffice, QuickPlay Media, RJDJ, Superpages.com, and Travel Channel.

With devices like the recently announced Motorola CLIQ with MOTOBLUR, consumers will be able to access content and multi-media offerings, and stay connected through applications from the partners.
