NEC has deployed its "SAP Business By Design" cloud-based enterprise resource planning service to three of Suntory Beverage & Food Asia's new subsidiaries in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
The service is geared towards mid-sized locations of global companies that features a range of functions including accounting, sales, marketing, inventory, purchasing, and supply chain management.
In 2014, NEC announced the signing of a global cooperative agreement with SAP in relation to its SAP Business ByDesign business. Based on this agreement, NEC has launched the "NEC Global Localization Package for SAP Business By Design" by adding functionalities to address country-specific legal regulations and business practices and is offering the package in six Southeast Asian countries, including Singapore and Malaysia.
For this Suntory Group project, NEC used a localization package to achieve the simultaneous launch of mission-critical systems at three locations within a short six-month period.
NEC said it will continue to contribute to the growth strategies of global companies by supporting the construction of groupwide business management and supply chain management systems through the provision of the NEC Global Localization Package for SAP Business ByDesign.
"We are progressively upgrading and expanding our NEC Global Enterprise Solutions, our lineup of solutions and services offered globally to enterprise customers in retail, distribution, manufacturing and other fields,” said Noguchi Yutaka, general manager of NEC’s global products and services development division.
