Many telecommunication operators find themselves in a transition phase. They will migrate circuit-switched (CS) networks to the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), a process that could span several years.
This paper describes an approach and strategy for safeguarding these investments, and how operators can, over time, migrate VAS in the circuit-switched network to IMS.
