NHK World TV has increased its video-on-demand offerings from 13 to 27 programs. The number of NHK World VOD users has more than doubled since June of last year, and many have written in to ask for more titles.

In general, VOD programs will be available for two to four weeks after broadcast.

VOD can be accessed from the NHK World website or an Internet media player connected to a TV set.

VOD apps will soon be available for smartphones and tablets.
