PLDT and Japan's NTT Communications have partnered to provide enterprise cloud services in the Philippines.

Under the partnership, the companies will offer PLDT's enterprise customers access to NTT Com's IaaS service Enterprise Cloud.

Commercial services are expected to launch on or around September. The IaaS offering will incorporate PLDT's network services.

“With this partnership between NTT Com and PLDT, our clients may now capitalize on PLDT's local accessibility and interfacing,” PLDT head of enterprise, international and carrier business Eric R. Alberto said.

Enterprise Cloud is designed to enable enterprises to virtually access individualized customer portals to configure virtual data centers.

PLDT offers the service via data center servers in Japan, US, UK, Germany, Australia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia.

In February, NTT Com allied with Toshiba to use the Enterprise Cloud platform to deliver Toshiba data center and cloud services to business across Asia and elsewhere.
