PMC-Sierra has launched its Universal Front End 4 (UFE4) silicon that enables OEMs to develop a range of solutions for mobile backhaul.
The UFE412 and UFE448 ASSP devices offer OEMs a platform to deliver end-to-end mobile backhaul solutions
Combined with PMC-Sierra’s WinPath3 network processors, the new devices enable delivery of solutions ranging from cell-site backhaul through hub sites and aggregation equipment.
PMC-Sierra’s UFE4 co-processor and WinPath3 support services such as TDM, ATM, Frame Relay, HDLC, PPP and Circuit Emulation.
