Report: Online ads in China hit $3.9B in 2010

China’s online advertising market grew to 27.52 billion yuan ($3.9 billion) in 2010, or an increase of 76.6% compared with 2009.

Analysys International believes that the growth in both transaction value and growth rate is attributed to the following two main factors. First, hot events triggered such a growth. The opening ceremony of the Asia Games pushed forward the market, thus the overall transaction value was much improved.

Second, online ad market has already become an important aspect in advertisers’ marketing. Advertisers have paid wide attention to the online ad market, which is served as an important platform to invest.

Last but not the least, advertisers’ various demands increased the ways of online ad investment and brought about huge investment. It therefore promoted the stable development of the overall market.
