Symantec names Adrian Jones SVP of APJ

Adrian Jones has joined Symantec as senior vice president of Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) to lead the security firm’s business operations and business development in the region.

Most recently Jones was general manager and SVP of Oracle Asia Pacific.

Prior to joining Oracle he was SVP of Enterprise Servers, Storage, and Networking at HP in Asia Pacific and Japan. He also held the position of VP and GM of HP's Americas Solution Partners managing all channel partnerships throughout Canada.

CA names Michael Choe VP and MD of Asia North

CA Technologies has appointed Michael Choe as vice president and managing director of Asia North to lead the firm’s operations in Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea.

Choe, a veteran of more than 14 years in the IT industry, will assume his new role on July 1. He will be based out of Seoul and reports directly to Kenneth Arredondo, president & general manager of Asia Pacific & Japan.

Choe joined CA Technologies in 2005 and has held various positions of increasing responsibility across sales, operations and finance in New York, Singapore, Seoul, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Willie Hung, vice president of Hong Kong & Taiwan, meanwhile, is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities, CA Technologies said.
