Webscale and transmission network operators' interests are aligning as the 5G era dawns
Workz secures GSMA eSIM certification
Mobile solutions provider Workz announced it has become the first manufacturer in the MEA region to be certified by the GSMA for the production of eSIMs for IoT devices.
The company has secured accreditation for the production of SIM with eUICC (embedded universal integrated circuit card) software.
This is expected to be a key component of the IoT ecosystem that will enable the remote management of devices over cellular networks.
Workz is the sixth manufacturer in the world to achieve the accreditation, which followed a rigorous security audit of its Dubai-based SIM production and development center.
“To be the first GSMA EUM certified facility in the region and only sixth in the world is great news for Workz. It’s a remarkable achievement for our team and a key milestone in our eSIM, remote SIM provisioning and IoT solutions roadmap,”Workz co-CEO Brad Taylor commented.
