ZTE has debuted its high-speed LTE-advanced system, which has a downlink peak rate of more than 1Gbps.

LTE-advanced, or 4G technology, introduces carrier aggregation, enhanced antenna, relay, coordinated multi-point Tx/Rx (CoMP) and other key technologies.

ZTE has been continuously investing in LTE and technical evolution, and has some 4,000 engineers dedicated to this work.

As of the first half of 2010, ZTE had applied for more than 2600 LTE/SAE patents and submitted 5400 proposals to the 3GPP.
