ZTE said the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) has evaluated its ZXR10 T8000 which successfully passed several tests, including MEF9 and MEF14 standard networking tests.

The routers tested use ZTE-developed forwarding, switching and interface chips, which ensure packet data reception rates and efficient router forwarding and switching.

When multiple overlapping services are employed, the routers are capable of outstanding long-term reliable performance.

The MEF international functionality and performance certification tests covered EPL, EVPL and ELAN functions.

The T8000 platform also helps operators in building flat networks and achieving smooth long-term evolution of unified bearer networks.
