Former UFC heavyweight champion and veteran mixed martial artist Andrei Arlovski looks to continue his rich vein of form when he enters the Octagon for the third time in 2022 against Marcos Rogerio de Lima. Both American Arlovski and Brazilian de Lima have been in the UFC for quite a while. The bout will take place in the preliminary rounds of UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Allen also known as UFC Fight Night 213 at UFC Apex in Las Vegas. It promises to be exciting because while Arlovski is on a winning streak of four fights, de Lima cannot seem to stitch a winning streak together.

Andrei Arlovski
Born in 1979, “The Pitbull” Andre Arlovski is a Belarusian-American former UFC Heavyweight champion. Arlovski made his first UFC debut in 2000 and holds the record for most wins (23) in UFC heavyweight history. He first won the heavyweight in 2005 with a win over Tim Sylvia. He later fought a trilogy with Sylvia losing the championship to him in their rematch. He left the UFC in 2008 and returned in 2014. His second stint in the promotion started on a shaky note. Between 2016 - 2017, he ran into a rut of five losses. The rear naked choke submission to Tom Aspinall in February 2021 seemed to have sparked something in the old Pitbull. He now has four wins, including two in 2022. His last fight was a split decision win over Jake Collier that caused controversy, with all the media scores listing Collier as the winner. Arlovski has also competed for Strikeforce, WSOF, Affliction, EliteXC, ONE FC, and M-1 Challenge.

Marcos Rogerio de Lima
The 37-year-old Brazilian MMA fighter debuted in the UFC in 2014, joining the elite promotion after a stellar record in the regional promotions. His UFC career has been everything but stellar. He has found it difficult to stitch together any meaningful streak, with his record alternating between wins and losses consecutively. In 2021, he won two consecutive fights, but 2022 saw his return to the losing column with his reverse against Blagoy Ivanov in May. He lost the fight via unanimous decision. A professional since 2009, “Pezão” formerly competed for Strikeforce and Shooto, and was a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3.
