According to an ESPN report, the NBA's Houston Rockets are negotiating a contract extension with 36-year-old American basketball star Kevin Durant.

Durant is a two-time North American league champion, and reports indicate that the current contract is set to be extended for two years, totaling $112 million.

On June 22, Durant was traded to the Houston Rockets from the Phoenix Suns. In exchange, the Suns received Dillon Brooks, Jalen Green, a first-round draft pick in the 2025 NBA Draft (10th overall), and five second-round picks.

Durant began his NBA career in 2007 and during his time in the league, he has played for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, and Brooklyn Nets. He has been with the Phoenix Suns since 2023.
