Three-time Olympic gold medalist (2008, 2012, 2024) with the United States men’s basketball team and Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James will temporarily train with the Lakers’ G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers.
According to ESPN, the 40-year-old “King James” will spend the upcoming week with the South Bay Lakers to regain game fitness following inflammation of his right sciatic nerve.
On October 10, it was reported that James would be sidelined for approximately three to four weeks, causing him to miss the start of the 2025-26 NBA regular season. On November 6, journalist Shams Charania confirmed that James would not join the Lakers on their upcoming five-game road trip.
