Former Lakers Player Prevents Home Invasion by Firing Shots into the Floor

According to NBC Los Angeles, as reported by Fadeaway World, former Los Angeles Lakers forward Christian Wood thwarted an attempted home invasion by firing several shots into the floor, causing the intruders to flee.

The incident took place at Wood’s residence in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, at approximately 1:00 local time. Three unidentified perpetrators broke in through the back door. Sources confirm that Wood fired only into the ground and did not aim at the suspects.

The 30-year-old center played for the Lakers from 2023 to 2025 and is currently a free agent.
