Former NBA Player Rodney Rogers Dies at 54

The Brooklyn Nets shared news on social media of the passing of Rodney Rogers, a former NBA player, at age 54.

During his time in the North American league, he played for the Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns, Boston Celtics, New Jersey Nets, New Orleans Hornets, and Philadelphia 76ers. In the 1999-00 season, Rogers was named the NBA Sixth Man of the Year.

Over 866 NBA games, his career averages were 10.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists.

In November 2008, Rogers was involved in a motorcycle accident when he hit a pothole while riding off-road. As a result of the incident, he was paralyzed, losing mobility below his shoulders.
