According to Shams Charania, ESPN’s prominent insider and reporter, four-time NBA champion and Los Angeles Lakers 40-year-old forward LeBron James will not accompany the team on its upcoming five-game road trip.
The team is awaiting medical clearance before allowing James to return to full 5-on-5 practices.
As of today, James has missed all nine of the Lakers’ games in the 2025-26 season. Prior to the start of preseason, it was revealed that he was dealing with sciatic nerve issues and is currently undergoing rehabilitation.
