The National Basketball Association (NBA) has unveiled an updated format for the All-Star Weekend, set to take place on February 15, 2026, at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.
In the upcoming game, teams will be formed under the principle of “US vs. the World.” The traditional conference-based structure has been replaced by a three-team competition, each consisting of eight players: two U.S. teams and one team composed entirely of international players.
The starting five for each team will be selected by the highest combined vote totals from fans, media, and players. Each team will also be supplemented by three reserve players.
The first three quarters of the All-Star Game will follow a round-robin format, with each of the three teams playing two games. In the final quarter, the two top teams, determined by results from the round-robin stage, will face off. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by the best point differential among the three teams.
