Oklahoma City Thunder Makes NBA History as Youngest Champion in 48 Years

The Oklahoma City Thunder has achieved a remarkable milestone in the NBA by winning the 2024/2025 season in the finals against the Indiana Pacers.

The decisive seventh game of the finals ended in Oklahoma City with a score of 103-91 in favor of the home team. For the Thunder, this title marks the first in the franchise's history, which relocated from Seattle in 2008.

With an average roster age of 25.56 years, the Oklahoma City team has become the youngest champion in nearly half a century. The only team younger than them was the Portland Trail Blazers in 1977, with an average age of 25.03 years.

The Oklahoma City Thunder is now the seventh team to win the NBA championship in the last seven years.
